The Landed Program helps individuals move toward greater stability, independence, and long-term success by providing practical support for employment, education, housing, and personal development.
Participants receive individualized guidance and access to resources designed to help overcome barriers and create a sustainable path forward. Support may include:

The goal of the Landed Program is to help individuals gain the skills, resources, and support they need to move forward with confidence and build a more stable future.
The Transitional Entrepreneurship Program is a 12-week business development program designed to help individuals in recovery who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability turn their ideas, skills, and talents into opportunities for sustainable income and greater independence.
Through a combination of weekly workshops, personalized coaching, and one-on-one support, participants learn the practical steps involved in starting and growing a small business or side hustle. The program provides a supportive, recovery-focused environment where individuals can build confidence, develop entrepreneurial skills, and create a realistic path toward financial stability.

The program welcomes individuals interested in building businesses across a variety of industries—from cleaning, landscaping, food services, and car detailing to beauty, barbering, handyman services, and other skill-based ventures.
The Lonzell Tate Foundation was established in honor of Lonzell Tate, a United States Army veteran who experienced homelessness and spent more than 30 years living on the streets of Chicago before passing away from stomach cancer in January 2014. His story continues to inspire Chicago Recovery Community’s commitment to serving veterans and families experiencing hardship.
Created to honor his legacy, the foundation provides support to homeless veterans and families of fallen soldiers throughout the Chicago area. Through fundraising efforts and charitable donations, the program helps provide resources that address immediate needs while supporting families as they work toward greater stability.

The Lonzell Tate Foundation allows CRC to carry Lonzell’s legacy forward by helping veterans and their families access support, opportunity, and hope when they need it most.
Food insecurity affects thousands of families every year. CRC partners with community organizations and supporters to provide emergency food assistance, helping individuals and families access nutritious meals during difficult times. Includes food distribution, community pantry support and emergency assistance.
The Women’s Recovery Circle is a supportive community designed to provide women with a safe and welcoming space to connect, heal, grow, and move forward together. The program recognizes that recovery can look different for every woman and creates an environment where participants can openly share experiences, receive encouragement, and build meaningful connections without fear of judgment.
Through facilitated conversations, peer support, personal development activities, and access to helpful resources, the Women’s Recovery Circle encourages women to strengthen their confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and continue working toward greater stability and well-being.

The CRC Community Book Club creates a safe, supportive space where individuals can come together to read, reflect, grow, and connect through meaningful conversations and shared experiences.
Designed to support individuals in recovery, personal growth, and community building, the Book Club features monthly selections centered on topics such as recovery, wellness, empowerment, healing, resilience, and self-discovery. Participants are encouraged to share their perspectives in an open, respectful, and judgment-free environment.

Feeding & Crisis Street Outreach Program
The Heart & Hands Initiative is Chicago Recovery Community’s compassionate street outreach program serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness, hunger, and hardship. Rooted in dignity, care, and hope, the initiative meets people where they are by providing immediate assistance while helping connect them to resources that can support greater stability.
